The University of Kobani organized the graduation ceremony for the third class of its students. The ceremony began at the university headquarters, after which the students headed to the Martyrs’ Shrine in gratitude and appreciation. Then, they moved to the central stadium in the new neighborhood, where they were received by a large crowd of people from the city of Kobani. There, the ceremony began with speeches delivered by both the university administration and the self-administration, in which they stressed the importance of the relationship between the university and society, science and society. In addition, the position against the threats and attacks of the Turkish state was stated, and the student Midea Ali Osman gave a speech on behalf of the graduate students in which she demonstrated the importance of studying in the mother tongue and studying sciences in the Kurdish language. At the same time, attention was drawn to the historicity and importance of this day. The celebration concluded with the distribution of graduation certificates to the students and artistic and singing performances.
