Medical Institute

The institute was established in 2019 with the aim of preparing cadres specialized in the field of medical analysis for the region, and as a result of the health sector’s lack of cadres working in the fields of nursing and anesthesia, the anesthesia and nursing departments were established in 2021. The duration of studying is five semsters.

The importance of establishing the institute comes due to the situation of the Rojava Revolution, which resulted in the migration of specialized medical cadres, and the need of the region to fill the void that exists in the medical sector in general.

 It aims to:

1- Preparing cadres with a scientific and practical level in all of the three disciplines.

2- Securing the increasing needs of human resources in various specialties in medical facilities in our regions.

3- Giving the graduate the skills to deal and use all tools and devices.

4- Seting up an advanced and modern analysis center.

5- Reinforcement and developing the health level in the region.

6- Providing the possibilities to establish a medical college.

7- Spreading the culture of community health.

Courses:

The courses of the three departments vary between general courses that provide the student with the knowledge and skills of working in community service, other courses that are considered basic, which provide the student with the basics of specialization, and specialized courses that provide the student with the knowledge and skills of specialized professional work and dealing with the available and modern means and tools in the medical sector in the region.

Fields of work after graduation:

1- Working in hospitals

2- Practical and reasearch works in medical laboratories

3- Taking leading positions in publical health centers and councils of health

4- Working as teaching assistant at the university
