Faculty of Literature
Establishment of the Faculty of Literature:
The Faculty of Literature opened in 2017 with the foundation of the university. It started with one department, which is the Department of Kurdish Language and Literature. Later in 2020-2021, the Department of Arabic Language and Literature was opened. The duration of study in the college is eight semesters
The importance of college:
Without a doubt, higher education and the opening of branches in it are for the sake of learning, teaching and raising generations. It provides the societies with specialists with theoretical and practical expertise and competencies in all aspects and fields. The college, with its scientific and academic nature, gives its students a sense of confidence that they can present successful projects to present, promote and develop themselves and the society to which they belong. As reaching a generation with these characteristics and capabilities is a sign of progress and success in societies.
It aims to:
1- Building specialized cadres who can synchronize local and global progress.
2- Strengthening the community's connection with its diverse heritage and culture. And learn about other cultures to make friendly relations.
3- Raising the level of scientific research in specializations, to contribute to solving problems.
4- Building researchers with scientific and objective standards agreed upon by the scientific community, to enrich and serve their language and literature.
Courses :
The faculty's courses are divided into basic, major, general and specialized courses. Most of it is theoretical and some of it is practical. The theory is based on various international sources framed by experts and specialists in the subjects of linguistics, literature, and sociology. In addition to that, the practical section also depends on the same sources, and more based on field and community sources.

1- In the field of education.
2- In institutions and centers for language and literature research.
3- Women's Science Research Centers (Jinoology).
4- Writing linguistic and literary products.
5- Work as a teaching assistant at the university, and complete postgraduate studies.
6- Working in the field of journalism as an assistant.
7- Work in the field of translation
